Requisition Summary
The number of truck development programs and truck pilot requirements increase yearly, necessitating the need for additional support.
As the Pilot Technical Coordinator, the individual will assume responsibility for managing the process of completing non-customer pilot orders, converting customer Quality Validation (QV) and Volume Validation (VV) orders, and coordinating the order review process through Applications and Release.
In collaboration with Program Management, Engineering, and the PACCAR Technical Center, this role will involve creating pilot orders and ensuring accurate option content for major programs. Moreover, as a newly created position, the individual will be expected to develop and document new processes to effectively manage the growing number of truck development programs and pilot requirements.
The level of hiring for this role will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and education. The ideal candidate should demonstrate self-motivation, the ability to work independently, possess a strong technical background, excel in collaborating across multiple engineering departments, and drive results from all stakeholders.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Create and document processes for this new role.
- Create sales orders for Engineering Validation (EV) builds.
- Coordinate sales order review with technical stakeholders.
- Manage pilot sales order changes.
- Maintain option code conversation matrix.
- Review Quality Validation (QV) and Volume Validation (VV) sales orders for accuracy.
- Coordinate the order review process through Applications and Release.
- Identify configurations needed for paper pilots to validate program scope and major customer requirements.
Qualifications / Skills
- Five years’ experience, preferable 1-3 years’ experience in the manufacturing, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering field.
- Demonstrated professional and successful communication skills with strong, effective interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with product development preferred.
- Experience with PCP/Tollgate preferred.
- Knowledge of Creo, PCMS, and Bill of Materials preferred.
- Experience with truck sales orders preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge and experience with order processing systems preferred.
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- Project Management Experience Preferred
