It is our mission to help our clients develop strategies to optimize their use of space and resources resulting in maximum benefits; we also deliver quality data and analysis to support our clients’ daily facility operations, planning, and compliance programs. We are looking for a Capture Manager (West Coast) to join our HQ team and support our efforts on the West Coast. 


Location: West Coast based-San Diego area preferred. Work to be hybrid in office and remote.


SUMMARY


Responsible for all aspects of the pre-award phase, including identifying and assessing opportunities for pursuit, forming winning teams, establishing client intimacy, capturing marketing intelligence, and managing the process through to award.  Primary objective is to assist with increasing company revenue.


BD Overview

  • Develop 3 to 5 yr. pipeline based on Company BD Strategy, Technical Roadmap, and foundational opportunities 
  • Track the opportunity pipeline and strategy
  • Assist in prioritizing opportunities based on our Technical Roadmap, Strategy and Pwin
  • Put forth opinion on Go/No-Go opportunities
  • Continuously update BD Strategy opportunities
  • Direct weekly meeting to review all opportunities – assessment, strategy, capture
  • Use Monday.com to track progress of GO opportunities
  • Use PipeDrive to track pipeline and capture intel
  • Work with company technical consultants to add skills to increase winning opportunities and ensure they are bringing value to the process; add additional IC’s as able.
  • Work with BD Executive, CTO, COO, and Director of Programs on potential IR&D projects; grassroot opportunities; white papers
  • Develop schedule and work to produce and inventory proposal reference library. 

CAPTURE

  • Be assertive on getting intel. Network, create teaming partnerships, reach out to government clients and potential teaming partners
  • For BIC MACs, put forth options for teaming or going solo
  • Establish relationships with companies to accommodate multiple teaming strategies for vehicles and set asides. 
  • Develop and execute Customer Contact Plan in coordination with BD Executive Lead. 
  • Develop and update capability matrix
  • Develop subcontractor plan and Teaming Analysis to fill capability gaps
  • Maintain capture reference material in War room or library for access to others.
  • Capitalize on T3W’s relevant past performances to find and create new opportunities for bid
  • Perform and manage the capture and pursuit activities of opportunities prior to RFP release to enhance T3W’s probability of win
  • Assist with finding new opportunities for pursuit, establishing for ample backlog to ensure increased revenue
  • Work with the Proposal team to evaluate requirements for BIC MACs
  • Build relationships; bring forth new trusted partners
  • Develop a game plan for NIWC contract and assertively develop opportunities

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Work with BD Executive Lead and CTO on opportunities related to Technical Roadmap and communicate progress at Capture and Business Development meetings.
  • Highlight ongoing capture progress 
  • Assist in prioritizing and refining opportunities
  • Participate in After Action Reviews for all proposal opportunities 
  • Assist in making sure everyone knows and uses lesson learned for future opportunities
  • Communicates requirements to other Team Members for capturing intel

MARKETING

  • Work with BD Executive Lead, COO and Director of Programs to identify the best events to attend – best value for our money
  • Work with PMs to identify potential opportunities near to or related to existing clients and develop a game plan for capture
  • Market to clients from past positions for potential opportunities 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in applicable field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with working Business Development in a government contract company
  • Job can be mostly virtual, however travel required 25%-50% of the time.
  • Has maintained a network of business contacts from past experiences 
  • Proactive Self-starter
  • Astute communications skills, written and oral and able to assist on writing proposals as needed
  • People person
  • Former military servicemember preferred
