Job Summary
The Regional Payroll Administrator / Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for the payroll and tax processing with the region. This Payroll Analyst will collaborate with HR and Accounting/Finance Departments on a frequent basis. This is a hybrid role based out of St. Louis, with 3 days/week on-site and 2 days/week remote.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the processing of the regional payrolls including the executive and international shadow payrolls and selected hourly payrolls.
- Duties include gathering payroll data and preparing payroll management reports.
- Manages the collation and distribution of payroll and benefit data for tax purposes on a quarterly basis, responds to questions from tax provider.
- Support preparation of year-end reporting requirements and associated breakdowns.
- Payroll systems administrator. Security and set-up support. Set-up user access to all systems as requested. Assist in set-up of new pay groups in Payroll.
- Review of error report and help resolve errors as needed.
- Update new earnings codes/accumulators as requested.
- Prepare and process garnishment payments to federal, state and local jurisdictions
- Manage Unclaimed wages through state escheat regulations (US Specific)
- Back up to other payroll regions and selected executive and international shadow payroll when requested.
- Update new earnings codes/accumulators as requested.
- Support required reporting such as Pay Data Reports, ACA, etc.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience with US payroll or accounting
- Experience with union payroll
- Able to process a payroll end to end and prepare required reports
- Strong Excel and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data and summarize for allocations and management reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, HR or related function
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
