About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Maintenance Manager with monitoring, planning and implementing maintenance work activities to support production, preventive maintenance and other assigned tasks on their designated shift. The Maintenance Supervisor monitors Quality, Safety, and Efficiency of the maintenance team to ensure that customer (internal and external) needs are met. They are responsible for creating a positive work environment for all employees and solve problems as a team.
Your Responsibilities
- Organize the Maintenance team, complete paperwork (performance reviews, ordering, work orders etc.), and be active in equipment, molding and building repairs
- Provide daily operational guidance and direction to staff on work assignments and priorities based on input from operations
- Maintain and monitor all procedures and documentation in accordance with IATF16949
- Help develop and maintain our Equipment Build Standard and standardizing components
- Actively pursue opportunities to reduce cost and improve cycle times
- Support Production by resolving all equipment/molding related issues in a timely matter
Who we are looking for
Your preferred qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge in operation and maintenance of manufacturing processes (i.e. injection molding, painting, robotics and assembly techniques); including water cooling/chilling systems and boilers; compressed air systems; security and fire protection systems; refrigeration and air handling systems; environmental control systems, rules and regulations and electrical control systems, hydraulics and schematic drawings
- Proficient reading design drawings and blue prints, including a basic knowledge of GD&T
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Repair role within the Automotive Industry
- Secondary Diploma as well as, 3 year technical diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Licensed Millwright or Electrician
- Able to work flexible hours, including unscheduled overtime when necessary
