Manufacturing Engineering Technician

FLO is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for our Auburn Hills, Michigan facility. The Manufacturing Technician is an integral role at FLO. The right candidate will support production of EV charging stations in all technical areas to produce the highest quality product for our customers.

In this role, you will be joining a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals. You will be responsible for support of all assembly and build processes. This is an exciting and challenging job that will fully utilize your technical experience and critical thinking skills in a way that few positions can offer.

The ideal candidate will assist in the introduction, assembly, test and troubleshooting and repair of products. The Manufacturing Technician will also be responsible for developing, producing and improving best practices in a manufacturing environment to ensure the continuous production of high-quality products.

Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader, the Technician will provide product knowledge and production support for assembly, test, new product introduction, supply chain and sales.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Support production facility as the technical lead for product design, function, assembly and test for entire FLO product line produced at Auburn Hills.
• Lead locally sourced ECRs within the change management system and coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Support problem resolution from field, supply chain, assembly and test.
• Participate actively to help bring product to market with a passion towards industrialization, from concept to build.
  • Support supplier requests as needed;
  • Verify compliance of prototype parts with standards and customer requirements;
  • Support design team for design solutions;
  • Support manufacturing validation activities to include machine runoffs, FMEA and prototype builds.
• Develop positive internal relationships with Production, Management, Engineering and R&D.
• Develop positive external relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Verify engineering drawings, standards, ECRs, work instructions and BOM to make sure they are consistent and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing process.
• Perform other duties to support business needs.

• Associate degree in a technical/electronical field.
