The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Wound Care Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Analyzing and prioritizing orders based on initial assessment of documentation and customer and/or business urgency
Review and analyze payer specific requirements and coverage criteria to determine required documentation and accurate billing criteria.
Conduct in depth review of clinical documentation (medical records, prescriptions, operative reports, history and physicals) based on billing criteria.
Work with Wound Care Clinics or field personnel to obtain missing documentation required for placement and/or billing.
Build support and maintain patient, physician, and third-party payer loyalty and increasing the number of orders through enhanced customer services, customer relationship management, and technology utilization
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED AND five (5) years of healthcare experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and email.
Demonstrated ability to deal with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
Work location: Hybrid (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to San Antonio, TX at least 4 days per quarter and office time during training)
Travel: May include up to 0% domestic.
