Compensation $33-$35 hr
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Perform diverse duties to install and maintain production and overall facility equipment
- Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance tasks (as scheduled)
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Schedule and support outside contractor activity
- Complete administrative tasks (pm tasks and purchase requisitions)
- Assist in maintaining plant security
- Dispose of waste per company policies
- Assist with plant self-safety and inspection audits
- Assist in general plant cleaning and general appearance
- Comply with all OSHA required activities for power industrial equipment
- Operate floor scrubber
- Comply with all company/department safety rules and procedures
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of mechanics (rotating equipment, values, pumps, and ventilation systems)
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches and equipment manuals
- Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics
- Must be experienced in all facets of maintenance – mechanical, electrical, building, & vehicle repair
- Industrial electrical power and controls troubleshooting experience
