This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, and Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As a Production Support Specialist, you will be part of a vertically integrated dev. and tooling fabrication team. This is a boots-on-the-ground role. This is for the tinkers, the makers, the creators, the problem solvers, and those who own their role as if they are going to fly on the vehicle. We are building a road to space. The path is long, with challenges every step of the way but not without opportunities to do extraordinary things, make a difference, and leave a legacy.
 
In this role, you will be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Division, supporting our Dev. and Tooling sites in Florida. Responsible for material control and coordination, administrative and other support functions that enable day to day operations. Coordinating within the fabrication control team and leadership to manage the velocity of parts to the work cells.

Responsibilities: 

• Requisitioning, receiving, storing, and issuing inventory, tooling, consumables and other assets to technicians and operators. 
• Continuously monitor and respond to technician parts needs, including replacements for non-conforming parts, delivery of fasteners and shop stock, moving assemblies to inventory or to the next work center, and other similar duties as requested. 
• Enter material transactions in ERP system. 
• Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages.  
• Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.
• Prepare for, conduct, and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts. 
• Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices (5S). 
• Must be able to work well with others, take direction and execute swiftly, be mindful of process improvement opportunities, and be able to problem solve. 
• Identify, catalog, and report manufacturing delays, sources, and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers 
• Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment. 
• Operate various equipment in support of daily operations. This includes but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, lift tables etc. to ensure safe hardware handling operations.
