Financial Analyst

The Acute Financial Analyst will assist and perform a broad range of financial analysis, reporting, and data analytics in support of improving healthcare operations and profitability. Supports the hospitals’ month-end close, the annual budget preparation, and various ad hoc requests. Required to assist with concurrent projects and multiple requests related to both service lines and hospitals in a matrixed environment.
 

This role is remote with a quarterly onsite requirement located in Fairfax, VA. (Local Candidates are preferred ; DMV area) 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Performs financial analysis to support service line growth and profitability initiatives with guidance from a Financial Analyst Senior, Manager, or Director.
• Assists with the preparation of pro forma business case models.
• Develops proficiency with service line financial data generated by the cost accounting system.
• Assists with a broad range of finance and analytical functions including but not limited to budgeting and forecasting, financial analytics and reporting, profitability and utilization analysis, data management, presentation development, benchmarking, month-end close support, surveys, capital, and various other special projects.
• Ensures that the financial information provided is accurate, timely, and complete.
• Partners with and develops strong relationships with internal clients throughout the organization.
• Assists senior leadership with financial projects as needed.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Education - Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting or finance
