Freelance Project Manager Warehouse - Brownfield Project

<p></p><p>Our client is a <strong>rapidly expanding</strong> international consumer goods company strengthening its <strong>footprint</strong> across Central &amp; Eastern Europe. To support this growth, they are <strong>launching</strong> a <strong>new warehouse</strong> and transport platform in the <strong>Czech Republic</strong> that will serve the entire CEE region.</p><p></p><br>Jobomschrijving<br><p></p><p>As a <strong>Freelance Project Manager Warehouse</strong> your responsibilities are:</p><ul><li><strong>Participate</strong> in the <strong>final tender</strong> and negotiation phase to select and contract the warehouse <strong>partner</strong> in the Czech Republic.</li><li><strong>Define</strong> and <strong>implement</strong> warehouse operating procedures <strong>(SOPs)</strong> together with the selected 3PL.</li><li><strong>Prepare</strong> the <strong>dedicated</strong> warehouse areas and align operational ways of <strong>working</strong> with the logistics partner.</li><li><strong>Establish KPI</strong> tracking, governance <strong>routines,</strong> and daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews.</li><li>Set up the <strong>transport network</strong> for parcel and pallet <strong>flows</strong> across all <strong>Central</strong> &amp; <strong>Eastern</strong> European countries.</li><li><strong>Negotiate</strong> with <strong>transport</strong> providers and manage <strong>commercial</strong> and operational discussions.</li><li>Work closely with the IT team on the integration between the company ERP (Infor M3) and the 3PL WMS platform.</li><li>Monitor <strong>warehouse</strong> and <strong>transport performance,</strong> customer service levels, stock accuracy, inbound/outbound activities, and delivery lead times.</li><li>Analyze operational data and provide KPI reporting to management.</li><li>Support <strong>business</strong> growth by identifying service and logistics optimization opportunities.</li><li>Prepare the operational handover to the future Logistics Manager after the stabilization phase.</li></ul><p></p> <p>A successful <strong>Freelance Project Manager</strong> Warehouse should have:</p><ul><li>Proven experience managing <strong>warehouse setup, 3PL implementation,</strong> or logistics transformation projects in an international environment.</li><li><strong>Strong background</strong> in <strong>warehousing</strong> and transport operations.</li><li>Experience running <strong>RFP/RFQ</strong> processes and negotiating with logistics providers.</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>consumer goods,</strong> retail fashion, <strong>B2B distribution,</strong> or e-commerce logistics is a strong advantage.</li><li>Fluent <strong>Czech</strong> and <strong>English</strong> are mandatory.</li></ul>
