Education/Training
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in business preferred
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced clinic setting.
- Demonstrates ability to efficiently, effectively, and professionally multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- Command of verbal and written English
- Demonstrates proficiency in communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Positive interpersonal communication skills and foster positive relationships across the work environment.
- Previous medical office work experience in a high volume electronic medical record environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Computer literate.
- Medical terminology.
- Understanding of the referral and authorization process.
- Knowledge of various insurance payers and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Engaged in all patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Continuously invested in continuous Quality Improvement and preventing errors from reaching the patient.
- Must possess excellent computer skills which include Email, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Cerner.
