About the role

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
  • Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
  • Manage budget and expenditures.
  • Supervise direct reports such as Receptionists, Office Clerks, Mailroom Assistants, Administrative Assistants, etc.
  • Point of contact for office services such as security system, answering service, storage and shredding services, vending machines, coffee service, office supplies, etc.
  • Handle repair and purchase of copying machines, postage equipment, and other office equipment.
  • Maintain calendar and administrative function of conference rooms, coordinate special meeting meal requests.
  • Coordinate cubicle and office space with additions, installations, modifications, repair issues, etc.
  • Liaison between administrative staff and corporate travel services.
  • Responsible for phone system.  Issue phone numbers, phones and fax numbers to new employees.
  • Responsible for weekly review, maintenance and approval of facility employee timecards.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and SE policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred and 8 years previous experience preferred or, Associates degree or Equivalent and 6 years previous experience. Bachelor's degree or Equivalent and 2 years previous experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass standard audiogram, physical, drug screening and Breath Alcohol Test 
  • Must be able to work in factory environment which may include but is not limited to varying weather conditions, high noise level, vibration, fumes, dust, and odors
  • May require 10% domestic travel
  • Basic computer skills and aptitude of Microsoft Office programs
  • Navigation of NOV Systems including HUB and NOV Time
