Description of the role and the team

NAPA Shipping Solutions develops advanced cloud‑based applications that support safe, efficient, and data‑driven maritime operations. Our technologies play a key role in enabling shipping companies to optimize their fleet performance and ensure compliance with evolving industry standards. As part of this ecosystem, the ZETA team builds and maintains critical components used daily by stakeholders across the maritime domain, contributing directly to the reliability and scalability of our cloud‑first platform.

We are now seeking a skilled Senior .NET Developer to strengthen the team behind one of our core cloud applications. In this role, you will work hands‑on across a modern application stack, implement new features, maintain existing functionality, and ensure that the software meets the high expectations of our global user base. Your work will span from designing robust backend services to improving system reliability and collaborating closely with fellow developers, architects, and domain specialists.

One of your central responsibilities will be to further enhance an established cloud solution used by maritime customers worldwide, ensuring high quality, operational continuity, and alignment with evolving technological requirements. You will collaborate daily with your development team and interact with other experts across NAPA Shipping Solutions, ensuring shared understanding of practices, seamless integration points, and a consistent approach to delivering value.

This is a remote position, with our office located in Galati, Romania, and occasional on‑site visits when needed. The role is temporary, yet it plays an essential part in the continuity, stability, and future‑proofing of our product line.

What we expect from you

To succeed in this role, you bring strong technical foundations, hands‑on experience in cloud‑centric development, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, engineering‑driven environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high‑quality solutions.

• Solid expertise in .NET (C# or F#) and modern software engineering practices.

• Strong knowledge of AWS or another major cloud platform, and the ability to build scalable and reliable cloud services.

• Background in web development, including modern architectures and development workflows.

• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts (medium importance).

• Good knowledge of SQL and database-driven application design.

• Familiarity with or willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective cooperation within the team and across functional boundaries.

• A structured, quality‑oriented mindset and a proactive approach to improving development practices.

• Ability to coordinate with peers, share knowledge, and contribute to team alignment.

• Adaptability and responsibility, fitting naturally into NAPA’s self‑managed working culture.

• Good command of English is naturally expected, as collaboration takes place in international teams.
