About the role

Job Description Summary

This Role is responsible for MRO Commodity Strategy, Supplier Contracting Category Management, Master Agreement Negotiations, Supplier Management and Performance Monitoring across all Tier II commodities. Additionally, this role is responsible for partnering with the Business Unit teams to ensure a cohesive Commodity strategy development and implementation. Actively lead and coordinate sourcing efforts across GEV with measurable P&L impact on SQDC, policy deployment, and executing initiatives. The role will partner with GEV functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to improve SQD and drive TCO reductions while delivering excellent service levels to the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee development / execution of strategies within assigned category spend group
  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
  • Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. These jobs have significant input into their priorities. Jobs at this level tend to be covered by professional practices and policies but these are shaped by the role. Working within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience
  • Strong experience in MRO commodity
  • Demonstrated ability in leading large scale organizational, process, and culture change.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering, or equivalent experience/ knowledge
  • Excellent influential abilities at all levels
  • Collaborative mindset in working across functional areas
  • Strong experience in Procurement processes and system integration projects

Pay Transparency

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $108,800.00 – 145,100.00 USD Annually.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​This posting is expected to close on or after November 7, 2025.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
