Responsibilities

St. Mary's Medical Center (SMMC) is looking for a Patient Transporter (sometimes called an Orderly) for a full time day shift position in the Radiology Department!

 

Shift: Day Shift

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift/hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:30 pm

 

The Patient Transporter (Orderly) duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• transports patients to and from the Radiology Department
• darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking supplies, greeting and dressing patients and front office duties
• clerical duties for the Radiology Department include: answering telephones, preparing requisitions for outpatients, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records, knowledgeable on computer, office equipment and PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System)
• demonstrate adequate knowledge and terminology of tests ordered in Radiology
• demonstrate good telephone etiquette
• Transporter will greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner
• run necessary errands throughout the facility
• Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
• transportation experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
