Are you a skilled and dedicated thoracic surgeon with a passion for advancing cancer care? Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Thoracic Surgical Oncologist to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Key Qualifications:
Surgical Expertise: Proficient in performing complex thoracic oncology procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries, with a focus on lung, esophageal, and mediastinal tumors.
Commitment to Academic Excellence: Demonstrated experience or interest in research, teaching, and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment, partnering with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Clinical Innovation: Eagerness to adopt and develop cutting-edge surgical techniques and technologies that enhance patient outcomes and position the center as a leader in thoracic oncology.

Position Specifics
Position includes clinical activity at both Roswell Park as well as the Buffalo Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Medical Center, located just 6 miles from Roswell Park.

Salary range is $257,500 - $918,246 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Thoracic Surgery and Oncology.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the specialty of Thoracic Surgery and Oncology.

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
