New Glenn Production Support Engineer (R37587)
Blue OriginAbout the role
At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
Bring your passion for human spaceflight!
We are building a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to building the road to space. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require dedication and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join our production engineering team as we lower the cost of access to space and enable Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.
We are looking for Production Support Engineers to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. We are a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts acting as the key technical interface between the production value stream (procurement, R&D, testing, quality, and operations) and the design engineering teams across Blue Origin Development Programs. Our mission is to build trust, provide hands-on MRB/Non-conformances floor support, guide design for manufacturability, and develop production engineering process/methodologies across program and production elements.
We use our knowledge of the production and manufacturing systems to provide valuable design feedback and incorporate producibility into design in support of our manufacturing capabilities. Additionally, we work with multi-functional teams to diagnose problems, disposition discrepancies, and identify and drive corrective actions to closure.
Being a standout colleague is a must! You will collaborate across multiple team interfaces to understand and overcome logistics, supply chain, and resource challenges to deliver mission-ready products.

- Perform hands-on engineering and liaison role between our design team, our test team, our operations team, and our manufacturing customers.
- Drive producibility excellence into product designs – Lead efforts to identify, develop, and deploy designs and methodologies that improve operational excellence through quality, cost, design, and process enhancements. Perform design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) into the designs.
- Support the manufacturing floor in assembly, compliance to engineering requirements, discrepancy resolution, and component acceptance testing.
- Disposition and investigate root cause of discrepancies and take ownership of implementation of preventative/corrective action. Perform repair analysis of production hardware. Perform hands-on engineering and liaison role between our design, test, and operations teams and our manufacturing customers.
- Support the product through initial design release and operational gated reviews by evaluating and aiding in the development of required artifacts. Authorize in-build redlines and recommend changes to improve the design.
