Mercari is seeking a Sr. Benefits & Wellness Specialist to ensure our benefits portfolio is competitive, compliant and supports the health and well being of our employees. As Sr. Benefits & Wellness Specialist, you will drive programs that enhance Mercari’s Total Rewards portfolio.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you will contribute to the design and administration of Mercari’s benefits portfolio including medical and wellness offerings, retirement plans, FMLA and employee perks.
- Administer and advise employees on health and wellness programs.
- Serve as the Wellness Ambassador for the organization driving monthly initiatives that support health and self-care.
- Serve as the escalation point for benefits questions and liaison between employees, vendors and carriers.
- Coordinate the open enrollment process on an annual basis including system configuration, employee communication and hosting virtual open enrollment sessions.
- Reconcile monthly invoices and work with internal teams to streamline processes.
- Facilitate new hire benefit orientation and ensure all benefits program materials are accurate and current.
- Ensure all compliance deliverables are delivered on-time including Non-Discrimination testing and government and state filings.
- Work with large amounts of data and conduct cost modeling and employee impact analysis for new benefits programs and cost increases.
- Assist with the design and implementation of effective communication and education strategies and materials suitable for employees, managers and executives.
- Collaborate with HR business partners, Finance and leaders on benefits projects and stakeholder education.
What you’ll need:
- BA/BS in human resources or related field.
- 3 - 5 years in benefits administration.
- Demonstrated experience assisting the open enrollment process and working with HRIS systems.
- Sound judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
- A clear, approachable and friendly communication style and customer service attitude.
- Track record of being detailed oriented, accurate and demonstrated experience to self-motivate and follow through on projects.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in consulting-firm or health insurance broker capacity.
- CEBS certification.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
The applicable salary range for each role is based on where the applicant lives and is aligned to one of 3 zones according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Our Talent Acquisition team can help answer any questions about location after starting the recruiting process.
Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
The expected base salary ranges for this role are below. These ranges may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, Mercari’s total compensation package includes equity and a full range of physical, financial and well-being benefits. Zone 1* $90,400-$135,600
Zone2** $81,400-$122,000
Zone 3*** $72,300-$108,500
