Pharmacy Technician 1 is responsible for providing technical support of pharmacy services including but not limited to distributing pharmaceuticals performing inventory control completing compliance audits and financial transactions providing customer service and maintaining pharmacy records. Performs pharmacy-related duties in compliance with department policies and procedures and state/federal law and regulation. Arranges sequence and timing of work to meet normal and viable work requirements. Pharmacy Technician I works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy/Pharmacy Manager or their designee. Available to work all shifts.
Minimal technician experience (less than 1 year full-time OR less than 1 year of inpatient experience) Required
Certification/Licensure Requirements - Pharmacy Technician Registration/License Virginia Required, PTCB or ExCPT (or other national certification) Required within 9 months of hire or transfer and maintained thereafter.
