We’re looking for an amazing Security professional to fill this role, which is based in our Fairbanks, AK location. You’ll be responsible for supporting our Westmark Fairbanks Hotel and Conference Center in all aspects of security functions.
 
Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line and Princess is looking for in its Security. Is this you?

Responsibilities:

• Performs complete daily rounds of hotel premises on foot to ensure assets, guests and employees are secure in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Responds to urgent and emergent medical and non-medical incidents on the hotel property. Documents and communicates incidents as outlined by property guidelines.
• Upholds professional standards with employees by leading by example. Responsible for reporting of safety and behavioral issues to management. Will be responsible for documentation of incidents.
• Intervenes in observed safety risks when possible and communicate the intervention to management for follow-up.
• Communicates all safety and potential safety issues with management though designated channels to maintain confidentiality as needed. 
• Acts as the point person when other security staff are not available, including assisting guest service staff with tasks and shuttling guests, if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School completion or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years experience working in physical asset security or similar environment experience is preferred. 
• Supports and complies with company health and safety standards.
• Prioritizes work, maintains attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Clearly communicates, verbally and written, both in person and over the phone with employees, management, and guests.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends, including overnight shifts and Holidays.
• Works in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Works with minimal supervision on established daily goals as discussed with shift supervisor.
• Demonstrates an ability to maintain confidentiality and communications regarding sensitive topics.
• Has active and valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification. 
• Criminal background check including a credit check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Holland America Line/Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
