Position Summary

 

The Director of Gas Work and Resource Planning is responsible for overseeing the creation, implementation, publication and measurement of work and resource plans for all internal and external execution resources across Gas Operations (GO). This includes resource loading the book of work, development of the headcount plan and workforce strategy.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $159,000

Bay Area Maximum: $271,000

 

&/OR

 

California Minimum: $151,000

California Maximum: $257,000

 

Reporting Relationship

 

Reports into the Senior Director, Gas T&D Portfolio Management.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Oversees and governs the development of a prioritized and optimized long and short-term work and resource plans, in collaboration with leadership from Integrity Management, Portfolio Management and Engineering, T&D Operations and T&D Construction. Oversees the execution of the work and resource plan across GO.
  • Provides strategic guidance and direction for the development of the Gas Operations. Transmission and Distribution Workforce Strategy and Headcount Plan.
  • Supports the Senior Director in providing strategic guidance and direction for the development of the LoB’s Transmission and Distribution operating plan and budget. Works with Directors to maximize the effectiveness and strategic use of the Operating Plan budget.
  • Works with senior management to support and facilitate strategic planning and decision-making, high-level work plan prioritization and contingency planning. Influences management to make work and resource planning changes to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Ensures Public Safety, Customer Service and Reliability objectives are resourced according to funding, priority, due dates and regulatory commitments.
  • Oversees and governs the development of work progression plans across functions, monitors
    compliance and develops actions plans as necessary with functional departments.
