Position Specific Description
The Project Finance Group oversees the project financing portfolios for NextEra Energy Resources (NEER) and NextEra Energy Partners (NEP), managing tax equity, debt, and back leverage across 110 deals totaling $20 billion and growing. Senior Business Analyst will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the renewable projects, and the company’s strategies to fund the continuous growth. The position requires collaboration with various business units including Business Management, Development, Power Generation (PGD), Treasury, Environmental, Risk Management, Financial Controllers, and internal General Counsel in order to:
- Ensure compliance with all financing agreements by delivering periodic reports, providing post-closing deliverables, monitoring operating budgets, and supporting the build-out process for new development projects.
- Respond to lender and investor inquiries regarding their portfolio of financings.
- Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate financing impacts and ensure proper actions are taken, such as issuing notices, securing waivers or consents, and executing amendments to existing agreements.
- Support efficiency initiatives by identifying and implementing enhanced systems, AI applications, and procedures to enable scalable growth.
Key skills required for this role include strong project management capabilities with attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, curiosity to understand financing agreements and a willingness to work through their nuances.
