Senior UX Designer

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEWZeroFox seeks a Senior UX / Product Designer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our unified external cybersecurity platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design principles and a proven history of establishing and evolving design systems. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to create innovative solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.

Role and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cohesive design system to be used across our suite of products, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to identify pain points, user needs, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
• Mentor junior designers and support their growth and development within the team.

Required qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in UX design, preferably in a senior role, typically obtained in 5+ years.
• A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across multiple platforms, including web and mobile.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch or Figma.
• Experience with user research methods, such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Desired qualifications and skills

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
• Experience with Angular development.

• This role is based out of our office in Baltimore, MD (hybrid)
• This role requires occasional work on nights and weekends as needed.
