Job Description
Xplor Pay, a division of Xplor Technologies, is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Business Analyst (BA) to join a growing Product team. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and a broad set of internal teams to implement features and enhancements on our Quest gateway and merchant-facing reporting and account maintenance platform. To thrive in the role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of the core transaction lifecycle, take ownership of gathering business, customer, and system requirements, and identify enhancement opportunities. You will then assist in the design of solutions to address those needs which will be subsequently translated to development teams for delivery. This BA will work with the technology team as an important conduit in conveying business objectives when executing against the product roadmap sprint-over-sprint. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the merchant acquiring payments ecosystem, in addition to having experience with application development in an agile scrum environment.
Essential responsibilities to succeed in this role:
Product Strategy:
- Become a recognized subject matter expert on the functions and uses of your platforms including gateway, merchant reporting, and account maintenance functionality.
- Facilitate delivery of the product strategy and roadmap for your platforms in collaboration with the US Payments strategic product teams, and internal stakeholders to meet Xplor’s enterprise payments objectives in the region.
- Continuously identify, quantify, and prioritize opportunities to eliminate manual operational tasks to improve workflow and efficiency, particularly on issues that pose financial risk to the organization.
Product Delivery:
- Facilitate discovery sessions with business stakeholders and other end users to clearly understand problem spaces, identifying and documenting pertinent product business requirements, in addition to leveraging data analytics and market trends to develop thorough and concise requirements.
- Create supporting materials such as workflow diagrams and UI wireframes to effectively communicate business objectives, concepts, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Search large technical/business documents and data sets to find important information that translates to requirements or supports research and troubleshooting activities.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily standups, refinement, and sprint planning.
- Perform Acceptance Testing as a quality gate, confirming features and functionality meet expectations prior to deployment.
- Be a change management advocate, properly planning for releases, creating internal product release notes/documentation, and educating key business stakeholders on new functionality.
Stakeholder Management:
- Bridge technical and business worlds as you forge strong and productive relationships with stakeholders across Engineering, Risk, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to understand their needs and pain points.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and scrum teams to prioritize the backlog and monitor deliverables to ensure delivery of the overarching strategy, roadmap, and key milestones.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, or related field, ideally with experience in the payments and SaaS space
- Experience building web products with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development, and launch
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects, along with emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
