Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our service team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems — from engines and transmissions to brakes and air conditioning. You’ll perform high-quality work in line with dealership and manufacturer standards, including warranty repairs, routine maintenance, and complex diagnostics.
As an Automotive Technician, you'll also test-drive vehicles, estimate labor time, and clearly explain mechanical issues and needed repairs to service advisors and customers. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys problem-solving, staying up to date with evolving automotive technology, and working in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Providing labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Inspecting and testing new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous Dealership experience preferred
- ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
- Automotive background
- Teamwork skills
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
