THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for an Analytics Senior Manager to work closely with the Analytics Director and other strategic owners to further strengthen and optimize our customer marketing analytics capabilities. They will be responsible for conducting thorough analyses of performance and trends to identify opportunities for improvement – and clearly communicating information and recommendations to support continuous progress. This high-impact role will interface with many areas of the organization across Commercial, Marketing, and Analytics, and manage key initiatives to unlock step-change business improvements. 

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Performance Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth performance analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs and opportunities areas. Use this information to make data-driven recommendations for improving marketing strategies.
  • Marketing Insights & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of marketing strategies. Regularly report on performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose adjustments as needed.
  • Automation: Provide support for CRM target selections via automated tools and proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, commercial and analytics teams to ensure appropriate prioritization and seamless execution of strategies. Provide strategic guidance and insights to all stakeholders to support the growth of the business.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage key analytics initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field preferred with 2+ years of management experience
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel required
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling, A/B testing, and experimental design
  • Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format. Preferred experience working with Tableau for data visualization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing up, down and across organizations
  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus
