Business Systems Analyst Lead (29457)

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analysis Lead is responsible for working with business users to elicit requirements for Planet’s POS and LOS applications.  This position works through the requirements, elicitation, effort-estimate scoping, design, analysis and functional specification development activities for operational technology projects or programs. This position also performs system administration for the Encompass and Blend applications.  It is expected that this role will train junior team members to be more proficient in their duties. Working closely with business stakeholders and team members, this role actively supports project and change management lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages work assignments and activities of the POS and LOS business systems and provides functional, technical, and process changes to those applications.
• Collaborates and strategizes with business leaders to understand need and recommend operational technology solutions.
• Manages the systems change request process and ensures project timelines are met. Reports out on project milestones and status updates. Supports the initiation and planning of projects, including facilitating the definition of objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring the project is set up for success.
• Trains junior business systems analysts and quality assurance analysts in all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to closing to ensure that the technical solution meets business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience

• Minimum seven (7) years progressive mortgage experience
• Minimum five (5) years as an Encompass Loan Origination Experience as a Systems Administrator
• Minimum two (2) years leadership experience preferred. May be substituted with exceptional mortgage subject matter design experience.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues preferred.

Functional/Technical Skills

• Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
• Strong working knowledge of all aspects of the mortgage origination process, including underwriting guidelines, mortgage loan documents, and mortgage lending compliance
• Experience in using or supporting mortgage origination system.
• Organizational and project management skills – must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with others and independently as the situation requires.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.  Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations.
• Ability to develop and maintain solid partnerships with business and IT stakeholders.
