Engineering Manager, Business Enablement and Catalog Services

Role Description

The Dropbox team is growing, and we're looking for engineering managers to support this growth. In this role, you'll lead a team of 5 engineers to build the future of catalog services at Dropbox. Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for growing and developing an incredible team of hardworking and motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership and impact
• You will be responsible for building the future of catalog services, which play a central role in product monetization and, therefore, Dropbox's revenue
• You will be responsible for making the team nimble by investing in Operational Excellence and continuously reducing redundant systems
• You will develop a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values
• You will ensure your team delivers an extraordinary output and continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact
• You will set the direction for the team and anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning
• You will help craft technical and product strategies

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
• 7+ years of total software engineering experience, including 4+ years with direct management responsibilities
• Experience setting a vision and iteratively delivering progress to it
• Experience with distributed systems or backend infrastructure at scale
• Experience as a software developer across the stack
• Strong analytical capabilities to optimize solutions in a space with a lot of complex moving pieces, variables, and constraints
• Ability to mentor team members on having the highest possible impact

For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $206,600 - $243,000 - $279,500. 

For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $185,900 - $218,700 - $251,500. 

For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $165,200 - $194,400 - $223,600. 

Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. 

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
