JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of Engineering Robert V. Waltemeyer Department of Chemical Engineering in collaboration with the Materials Research Institute, is seeking applicants for part-time job of research assistant in the research group of Professor Gina Noh at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus.

Job duties to include:

  • Explore hydrothermal synthesis of crystalline oxides with tunable morphology toward CO2 capture
  • Use techniques, but not limited to, spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman), XRD, and TGA in collaboration with Dr. Jordan Meyet at the Materials Characterization Lab

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Be interested in learning materials synthesis and characterization
  • Have knowledge of general chemistry and organic chemistry principles

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $16.00/hr with expectation of working approximately 40 hrs. a week for 10 weeks.
