Job Description:

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Enterprise Data Science (EDS) Task Lead: Oversees all EDS activities to provide data science support and data-driven analytics. Responsible for all aspects of the analytic needs of USSTRATCOM. Advises on trends in technologies, future advances in technologies, and trends in the application of data science methods by providing monthly emerging technology papers and briefings. Provides expert knowledge in the application of ML and AI. Assists in managing analytic solution sets, including evaluation of project scope, status, timelines, delivery schedules, and tasks associated with successful project completion. Supports the development of advanced data science algorithms (such as predictive analysis, ML algorithms, AI, and other data science methods) as analytic solution sets for the warfighter. Provides statistical analytics and modeling support to multiple simultaneous statistical projects. Collaborates with multiple data science stakeholders working to explore, build, and mature advanced analytic capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education and Experience:  Requires a PhD in Data Science or closely related discipline and 20+ years of experience
• Required Certifications:  Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC
• Desired Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP); or Data Science Council of America Senior Data Scientist (SDS); or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate; or Google Professional Data Engineer; or IBM Data Science Professional; or AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty; or Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer; or AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty; or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert; or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Science Certified Specialist
• Security Clearance:  minimum Top Secret.  Must be willing to Obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility.  TS/SCI preferred
• Location:  Onsite - Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE

The likely salary range for this position is $191,412 - $258,970. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
