Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Milford Proving Ground - Bldg 104 - Vehicle Integration, MI on a full-time basis. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance. The successful candidate will need to relocate on their own accord.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Manage a team of 12 Reflash Technicians which includes developing team members, ensuring training completes on time and completing performance reviews.
  • Train new team members.
  • Allocate resources to ensure that all vehicle update requests and events complete on time.
  • Forecast throughput a week in advance and plan resources accordingly.
  • Manage vacation and PTO of team to ensure coverage is always adequate.
  • Flash GM development and fleet vehicles with the latest released software.
  • Ensure no vehicles are flashed without proper safety approval.
  • Work closely and cross functionally to troubleshoot and ensure successful flashing.
  • Drive issue resolution daily to ensure vehicles can get released the same day.
  • Capture BUS logs and assist in troubleshooting when requested.
  • Effectively transfer learnings to other site leads.
  • Cover for other site leads as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety precautions and requirements and treat safety as the top priority during all work activities.
  • Complete special assignments as required.
  • This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
  • Candidate will split time between Milford Proving Grounds and Warren Reflash Center.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/education in field.
  • 5+ years working in an automotive environment.
  • Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to collaborate effectively with team and business associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving capability.
  • Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and lead with minimal supervision, ability to prioritize assignments / projects and multi-task within time constraints.
  • Strong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems.
  • Understanding of flashing processes whether physical or Over The Air.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of relevant technologies (eg. Infotainment, Active Safety, Cybersecurity)

  • Previous people leader experience.
  • Understanding GM software release process.
  • Solid understanding of the GM development process.
  • Solid understanding of Functional Safety.
  • Good understanding of Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
  • Familiarity with GM software architecture and flashing techniques

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

  • The salary range for this role is  $111,100 - $171,200. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
