About the job

In this role, you will specify the physical layer control software for wireless technologies. This includes the development of the physical layer control software for cellular technologies, from requirement analyses to verification. You will also be tasked with the maintenance of the software asset and interfacing with other software entities. The ideal candidate has excellent system-level knowledge of cellular technologies with hands-on experience in the development of LTE/5G cellular protocols. Strong programming skills in C and Python are required, along with experience in embedded real-time systems and operating systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Specifying Physical Layer software architecture and development of the software, including the chain from requirement analyses to verification of the software
  • Maintenance of the software asset
  • Interfacing with other software entities
  • Problem investigation and bug hunting
  • Participating in defining the future software/design architecture of IoT technology


Key Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Telecommunications, ICT, or equivalent education
  • Excellent system level knowledge on cellular technologies with 5+ years’ hands-on experience in LTE/5G wireless protocols, preferably on L1-MAC layers.
  • Good programming skills in C and in Python
  • Strong experience of embedded real time systems and operating systems
  • Experience using protocol testers and developing the test environments and test cases
  • Flexibility to participate on test system and test case development and testing
  • Knowledge of ARM microprocessor architecture is an advantage
