Job Title: Director of Business Development - Power Management Industrial and Multi-Market - North America
Job Description:
As the Director of Business Development for Power Management Industrial and Multi-Market, your primary responsibility will be to drive sustainable growth and increase market share in North America. You will be responsible for owning the design-in process, identifying, and growing a pipeline of opportunities, and maximizing the number of power sockets for each opportunity within the region. Your role will involve working closely with the sales and business unit marketing teams to develop and execute attack plans that align with the company's objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ownership of the design-in process, ensuring successful integration of power management ICs into industrial applications such as building automation, home automation, energy/grid, smart appliances, and metering.
2. Drive and coordinate attack plans with the sales and BU marketing teams to penetrate key accounts and grow the business in the region.
3. Regularly review and analyze opportunities to track progress towards targets, implement corrective actions, and ensure linearity to achieve desired outcomes.
4. Promote the power product portfolio holistically, highlighting the value proposition and differentiating features to key stakeholders.
5. Lead technical training sessions for sales teams and local distribution partners, enabling them to effectively promote and sell power management solutions.
6. Identify and create new engagements by leveraging industry knowledge and extensive network connections.
7. Provide comprehensive feedback to the business regarding commercial and technical gaps, enabling the development of new, innovative product offerings.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in the power management and semiconductor industry.
Education:
- BSEE or BSET degree or related bachelor’s degree required
Qualifications:
1. In-depth knowledge of power management ICs, including their functionalities and applications.
2. Extensive experience in industrial applications, such as building automation, home automation, energy/grid, smart appliances, and metering.
3. Strong understanding of semiconductor development processes, from concept to production.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.
5. Proven track record in driving business growth and successful penetration of new markets.
6. Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to identify and address challenges proactively.
8. A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on and results-oriented approach.
