Job Description:

Grand Villa of Sarasota is seeking a dedicated and reliable Activities Assistant to join our team in the Memory Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and recreational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities tailored to the needs and interests of residents in the memory care unit.

- Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.

- Collaborate with the recreational therapy team to develop individualized activity plans.

- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback on activities.

- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a supportive community atmosphere.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in recreational therapy or a related field is preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with residents.
