Be the BIM subject matter expert shaping the future of transit infrastructure.TYLin is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to support the delivery of complex Rail + Transit projects based in New York City, with an extended scope supporting teams and projects across the United States. This is an opportunity for a seasoned BIM professional to serve as a technical leader and trusted resource within our growing Transit practice, helping drive digital design excellence on some of the nation’s most impactful transportation programs.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
As a BIM Manager within our Rail + Transit group, you will:
Serve as the BIM Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting transit infrastructure design and delivery.
Lead BIM execution across multidisciplinary rail projects including stations, maintenance facilities, track corridors, and systems work.
Develop and implement BIM standards, workflows, and best practices for project teams.
Support model coordination, clash detection, and integration across design disciplines.
Provide hands-on technical leadership using platforms such as OpenBuildings Designer, Revit, and other Autodesk tools.
Partner with engineering leadership, designers, and project managers to ensure BIM consistency and quality.
Mentor junior BIM staff and support training efforts across the Transit practice.
Assist with BIM strategy for pursuits, client deliverables, and evolving digital delivery requirements.
Contribute to BIM innovation and continuous improvement across projects nationwide.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate will bring:
10+ years of professional BIM experience, ideally within transportation, rail, or complex infrastructure environments.
Proven expertise in OpenBuildings Designer (Bentley).
Strong working knowledge of Revit and Autodesk BIM platforms (Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.).
Experience supporting large-scale, multidisciplinary transit or transportation projects.
Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), model coordination, and digital delivery standards.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across distributed project teams.
A passion for being a go-to technical resource and advancing BIM maturity within a practice.

Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $140,000 - $190,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
