Production Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Peloton’s Content Department, comprised of our Production, Studio Operations and Instructor teams, works 365 days a year to deliver a broad offering of highly engaging subscription content to our members. We are a highly collaborative, fast-moving department that focuses on evolving our innovative programming.  We are looking for polished, experienced Broadcast Technical Directors to produce top-notch live and on-demand streaming shows in a one-of-a-kind work environment.  Candidates must possess experience in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment. In addition, candidates must have the ability to multi-task camera-switching, mixing and monitoring audio with multiple incoming feeds, understand and troubleshoot audio signal flow, lighting cues, QC of outbound stream, and most importantly, replicate this experience several times each day. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Tasked with overseeing the entirety of a Control Room inside a state-of-the-art facility. Duties include but are not limited to: video switching and technical directing, multi camera direction, robotic camera operation, livestream and in-studio audio mixing, specific lighting cues, timing/protocol adjustments, shot selection etc.
• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, report, and log any and all issues relating to production including but not limited: Content Stream, Control Room & Studio equipment, software issues, etc. 
• Assist on-air talent, fellow employees, and clients with all things production-related that including but not limited to:
• Responsible for, and lead team in all technical execution within the studio(s) and control room(s).
  Live Mic Adjustments/Swaps, Recorded Assets, File management, Studio malfunctions, etc. 
• Catalog finished product in a content management database and an app accessible to millions of our at-home subscribers.
• High attention to detail when QCing additional production content including scenic content, original production and remote productions
• Required shifts include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments of our content team to ensure an excellent final product and deliver additional assets when needed 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• Minimum 4-year BA degree in communications preferably in TV/Film Production preferred
• Minor editing experience not required but preferred
• Control Room experience required
• Experience with Yamaha QL1 Audio Board and Carbonite Ross Switcher not required but preferred
• Candidate must be a multitasking, enthusiastic team player with some previous industry experience
