Description Overview

Perrigo leaders put our People First, always. As a Senior Operations Supervisor, our employees are your number one priority. Operations Senior Supervisor typically oversees 1 or 2 Operations Supervisors. The Senior Operations Supervisor oversees roughly 50-70 employees working across multiple departments within Operations. Overseeing the tasks and adjusting workloads to meet Manufacturing and Production’s needs. Overseeing training and monitoring employee’s progress, monitors safety, quality, productivity, troubleshoots employee concerns and approves days off and vacations. This position will support with management in the development and implementation of on-going processes or special projects and recommend process changes to eliminate repetitive problems and waste [LEAN/5S]. Coordinates employees and equipment between Operation Departments to support the needs of the organization. Ensures efficient Manufacturing and Packaging of pharmaceutical products through Company’s Standard Operating Procedures. Oversee the usage of effective communication using the tool RedZone to report issues and update management on production. 

 

This is a 2nd shift position working M-TH, 5:00pm-3:50am

Salary Range:  $100,000 to $110,000

Scope of the Role

  • Oversee the Supervision of 50-70 Manufacturing and Packaging employees working on multiple production lines or in a Manufacturing suite, assigns tasks and adjusts workloads to meet production goals, schedules and monitors training, monitors production quality, troubleshoots and resolves problems. 
  • Provide high quality support to your teams and across the organization by building strong relationships and knowledge of Perrigo’s policies, procedures, and resources. 
  • Support, practice and lead a safe environment and culture for your teams.
  • Coach and develop the Operation Supervisors resulting in increased trust, engagement and retention to bring acrost all front-line employees.  
  • Foster an inclusive environment that supports diversity and enables your employees to bring their authentic self to Perrigo every day.
  • Evaluate processes for changes and recommend implementation to Management.
  • Oversee on-going or special maintenance or installation projects, and work with engineering staff to select or evaluate new equipment, both on capital projects and ancillary equipment.
  • May participate in capacity or budget planning, gather and evaluate information, and make and presents recommendations to management. 
  • Support the Perrigo Work System (PWS) process which includes Visual Manament, RedZone tracking system to measure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) impacting operator efficiency and machine capabilities.
  • Oversee perform the steps needed to edit including sick and vacation time and approve Payroll by the due date ensuring our employees are paid on time.  
  • Perform disciplinary actions: including writing up the disciplinary letter, informing and meeting the shop steward to present the disciplinary letter to the employee.
  • Manage staff goals using Success Factor 

Experience Required

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, you must have a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.  
  • Must have demonstrated strong leadership skills, including well-developed communication, performance management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas. 
  • Four years of production supervision experience.
  • Previous experience working in an FDA regulated industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
