PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

 

Manage inventory and processes to provide accurate, quality products at competitive cost to customers and to Allied Seed. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Oversees operational processes and organizational flow of inventory. 

 

Responsible for ensuring that product is packaged at correct weight and that proper levels of seed treatments are being applied. 

 

Stacks, stencils, cleans, and properly tags bags on pallet.  

 

Maintains an accurate count of product bagged.  

 

Operates necessary machinery such as forklifts, etc.  

 

Performs periodic visual inspections of all structural components of machinery.  

 

Inspects forklifts daily for all safety features, oil leaks, back up signal, lights and documents records. 

 

Organizes, maintains, and manages inventory.   

 

Oversees product receiving. 

 

Assures shipping count and lot numbers are accurate to assure customer satisfaction and meet state seed audit requirements. 

 

Oversees and performs quality control processes as defined by company. 

 

Prepares and executes shipments for international and domestic sales. 

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. 

 

May be required to drive and run local errands as needed. 

 

Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1 or more years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic business principals of inventory management and mechanics. 

 

Understanding and experience with competitive adeptness, inventory management, product knowledge and proficiency, 

 

Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant .

 

Frequently required to lift 51-70 lbs as needed. 

 

Frequently exposed to working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. 

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
