What are SolidFlow batteries?    

SolidFlow batteries store energy in organic molecules. The absence of explosive materials makes them safe, the use of socially and ecologically conflict-free raw materials makes them sustainable and the almost unlimited availability of materials makes them scalable and cheap to procure. This makes our patented SolidFlow technology a game changer in the development of a global climate-neutral energy system.   

From start-up to scale-up: we're tackling it together    

CMBlu Energy is developing from a start-up focussing on research into a manufacturing scale-up that is on its way to series production. Around 240 employees are working towards this goal at CMBlu Energy. Our head office is in Alzenau near Frankfurt, with a branch office in Obernburg. There are also subsidiaries in Athens, Greece and Petaluma, USA.    

 

At CMBlu Energy the simulation team supports the R&D teams with e.g. early insights, root cause analyses, design evaluations, performance predictions on all levels of our battery, i.e. from molecular level, to component, to system, to PowerHouse level. 

Your responsibilities 

• Lead team operations for 6 simulation engineers, including capacity planning, as well as delivery and performance management

• Conduct 1:1s and feedback cycles; support hiring, onboarding, and workload balancing

• Coach team members toward new skills and continuous development

• Translate company strategy and quarterly OKRs into simulation objectives and measurable outcomes

• Ensure the execution of the simulation platform vision and its evolution

• Facilitate stakeholder updates and presentation of results

• Manage external partners such as consulting firms, universities, and IT providers

Your profile 

• Several years of experience in numerical simulation (e.g., electro-/thermal systems, system simulation, control/co-simulation)

• Proven leadership experience in engineering teams (functional or disciplinary)

• Strong prioritization and delivery management skills (roadmaps, OKRs, Kanban/Scrum)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder managemen
