Summary
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing the execution of technical projects from inception to delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment. To do this, you will work to understand the business of Blackpoint Cyber and its customers. You will serve as a liaison between engineers, clients, management, and the project status. Using data, you will help drive test results, projections, resource allocation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and ensure buy-in
Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
Manage risk and ensure effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients
Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and design, to deliver projects on time and within budget
Communicate project status and progress to all stakeholders
Tracking milestones, deliverables, and change requests
Manage external vendors and contractors as needed
Continuously improve project management processes and tools
Qualifications:
5+ years of proven experience in technical project management
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques
Technical knowledge, ideally in software development
Keen attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
Experience managing project budgets and timelines
Experience with Jira, Asana, Trello, or other project management tools
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
Certification (one of the following)
Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from PMI
PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments)
Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) from PMI
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance
SAFe 4.0 Scaled Agilist (SA) from Scaled Agile, Inc.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
