Logistics Team Lead, Center for Ag & Food Security & Preparedness: College of Veterinary Medicine - UTIA

The College of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants to apply for the position of Logistics Team Lead. The Center for Agriculture and Food Security and Preparedness (CAFSP) receives grants from various federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Department of State (DOS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC), other funding agencies and private transportation industries to develop instructor-led and web based course materials, for both domestically and internationally targeted audience. The primary responsible for this position is to oversee the design of participant information to fit into the funding agencies data base systems, design marketing campaigns, implement strategies to better market the center's courses, and successful course delivery programs. This position will act as a liaison between the Center and University, federal partners, external contractors, Local Point of Contacts (LPOC), State, Local, Tribal and FEMA State Administrative Agency Contact (SAAs) in the scheduling and delivery of course materials and other training items such as videos, brochures, and web sites. This position will work closely with the Associate Director of Operations and the Curriculum Coordinator Team Leader. This position will be supervised by the Associate Director of Operations.  This position will lead logistics staff and supervise logistics student workers.

• Individual will be the team leader for the logistics staffs: marketing campaign, scheduling course deliveries, converting and uploading pre course delivery information, participant database system, and CAFSP website. Individual will lead staff responsible for creating and marketing training programs for both web and in-person programs and departmental projects, online customization of Center's LMS for all DHS courses, maintains different platforms necessary to build courses on LMS (Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms, etc), correct any functionality issues, creation and submission of XML documents to FEMA - this includes data collection and compilation, data entry, document conversion and editing, and submission to FEMA. This position will communicate with local points of contact, funding agencies and external contractors related to logistics issues. Assign external instructors course deliveries. Recommendation to management on all equipment and software needed for the logistics team to successfully execute their duties and to maintain the integrity of participant information. Acts as main contact for any technological issues in relation to Center's LMS (Canvas/K@TE). 
• Travel to international and domestic course delivery sites to assist external instructors with course deliveries. Individual will lead responsible staff to make sure that international custom regulations are adhere to, by the logistics team, for all international shipments. Communicates with instructors, subject matter experts, and collaborators from other agencies and universities as necessary regarding course deliveries. Provides work direction to others who may assist with these duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 2 years’ experience in training logistics or related work.
• Department will also accept High School Diploma with 4 years’ experience in training logistics OR a Bachelor's Degree with some experience in training logistics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field. One-three years of experience working in an adult training environment. Experience with online course and web design and development and student information systems or database systems is desired.
