We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Coordinator to join Yahoo Sports’ video team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of video projects, ensuring that all production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, outstanding communication, and the ability to collaborate with various teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the scheduling and coordination of video shoots, including, talent booking, equipment logistics, and location scouting (when applicable).

• Maintain detailed production calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met.

• Act as a liaison between production teams, creative teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.

• Distribute production-related information and updates to all stakeholders.

• Help track and manage production budgets, ensuring expenditures align with project parameters.

• Process invoices and assist in financial reporting for each project.

• Organize and maintain materials for on-site productions, specifically production books and call sheets.

• Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for crew and talent as needed.

• Provide on-set assistance during shoots, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available.

• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.

• Assist team leaders in the organization of post-production workflows, including scheduling editing sessions and managing asset deliveries.

• Help facilitate communication and feedback loops between producers, technicians, and leaders across relevant teams.

• Maintain thorough records of production processes and project documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in a production coordination or similar role, preferably in digital video.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana, Excel) and basic knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with digital content platforms and social media.
