About the Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner - Logistics, you will lead a team that builds strong and trusting relationships with associates and business partners while fostering a culture of care and appreciation. You will help create and implement HR initiatives and key people strategies while ensuring adherence to compliance programs. 

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with location leaders to give guidance, drive talent management practices and support the business to achieve business goals and retain an engaged workforce

  • Lead retention, engagement, accountability and culture strategies with business partners

  • Support Leadership in cultivating strong talent planning and developmental practices

  • Direct Leadership with day-to-day guidance, counsel and support of business and talent strategies while ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal laws

  • Analyze trends and variances to identify root causes and prepare solution-oriented responses to communicate to HR Leadership and business partners 

  • Educate business partners with insights on risks and opportunities 

  • Establish and maintain influential relationships with internal and external partners

  • Drive and influence the adoption of HR-related initiatives across the organization

  • Champion review and resolution of associate relations issues to ensure fairness, compassion and consistency 

  • Actively promote and advocate Kohl’s values and demonstrate behaviors that champion inclusion and belonging 

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Associate Relations or Human Resources

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • High level of critical thinking, analytical, decision making and leadership skills

  • Flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends and holidays

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis on HR/Business or equivalent experience

  • PHR or SPHR

  • Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating, preparing reports, etc.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor activities across business units

  • Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned projects in a timely manner
