At Klein Tools, we are dedicated to excellence and innovation. As a Senior Product Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our engineering efforts, managing and supporting the development of new products, enhancing existing ones, and driving cost-saving initiatives across our core product lines. You will lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring they meet the high standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Innovative Projects: Utilize our product development process to transition products from feasibility studies, through development stages, to successful market launches.
• Enhance Product Quality and Profitability: Execute quality improvement and cost reduction projects, employing your problem-solving expertise to enhance customer satisfaction and boost our bottom line.
• Define Engineering Standards: Conduct detailed engineering analysis and field research to establish precise design specifications for new products.
• Develop and Implement Test Plans: Create comprehensive test strategies for evaluating competitive products, qualifying new proposals, and driving continuous product improvements.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Provide guidance to budding engineers and collaborate with seasoned experts, enriching your professional journey within our dynamic team.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with at least three years, but ideally five years, of related experience.
• Expertise in Product Lifecycle Management: Strong grasp of new product development and introduction processes.
• Broad Engineering Knowledge: Well-versed in a wide range of engineering principles and familiar with key business concepts.
• Exceptional Analytical and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects, facilitate innovative solutions, and meet deadlines.
• Strong Communication and Team Collaboration: Excellent ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including internal departments, external consultants, and suppliers.
