Senior Director of Product Line Management, DCC

Responsibilities
MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management focused on high-speed data center interconnects to join our team. In this role, you will focus on growing our Data Center Connectivity BU (DCC) business and the following:
- Work with key partners, customers, and end users to define the requirements and drive adoption of MaxLinear solutions for their current generation deployments
- Drive product lifecycles and manage from inception to commercialization (feature roadmaps, product roadmaps, pricing)
- Research and analyze market opportunities, trends, and competitive pressures in datacenter connectivity markets to create, develop, and execute appropriate business plans
- Prepare Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs), Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Competition and Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis for all new and updated product releases
- Product positioning of our current products in new and existing market segments; driving efforts for design wins and forecast revenue associated with all new design activities
- Lead cross-functional meetings to track, manage, and communicate overall product line efforts
- Contribute to annual corporate planning
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of datacenter networks at a system and component levels
- Ability to understand customer needs and pain points and translate those into differentiated products with appropriate tradeoffs
- Deep understanding of high-speed datacom transceiver technology and use in datacenter networking
- Track record of success leading aggressive, results-driven product management and product planning strategies and initiatives, including experience developing product roadmaps and taking product from inception to commercialization, delivering on-time and the financial results targeted
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including market research and data gathering, ability to think / conceptualize independently and creatively, strength in building and analyzing complex financial models, and excellent business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, and execution skills plus the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and work effectively at all levels of an organization
- High-performance orientation, commitment to continuous improvement, excellent follow-through and with strategic capability but also willing to roll up your sleeves
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 14 years of experience, or MS + 12 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 10 years of experience
Compensation and Benefits
MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of: $175,100 to $271,860 Annually

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
