Parts Operations Assistant

Description

Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for Parts Operations Assistant at our Public Works and Infrastructure location in Harrisburg, PA.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Monitor bulk supplies and notify supervisor to prevent shortages

· Maintain organization and cleanliness of the yard

· Categorize and recycle scrap metal, bulk fluids and cardboard (must be able to lift items up to 35lbs)

· Assist in pickup and delivery from customers’ locations

· Operate a forklift and perform daily checklist 

· Pickup parts and deliver parts to vendors

· Assist counter salesman and outside salesman with staging orders for delivery or customer pick-up.

· Assist the parts department by restocking shelves and loading/unloading trucks/equipment.

· Restock inventory to bin locations as needed.

· Help cover the counter or back window as needed when called upon.

· Delivery of parts for repair orders to counter customers and the service technicians as called upon.

· Prepare products to be received or shipped from the warehouse/department.

· Perform cycle counts and bin checks

· Assist technicians with minor repairs (after all other tasks are complete)

· Any other duties assigned by manager

· CDL preferred (not required)

· Data entry in CDK??

· Special projects (ie yard clean up)

Requirements

The best fit to our team will have:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Office environment with moderate noise; computers, printers, and customer traffic. 
•  Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments. Requires frequent standing and walking to receive parts, as well as lifting items up to 25 lbs.
