This person will: 

Manage a team of QA Test Analysts — establishing objectives, measuring results, ensuring accountability, and supporting career development.

  • Collaborate with QA Manager and QA Leads to develop and implement project-specific test strategies.

  • Build and guide project teams composed of internal and contract QA resources.

  • Monitor progress to achieve time, quality, and budget goals.

  • Partner with project teams to ensure sound testing methodology and communicate test results clearly.

  • Plan work assignments, identify training opportunities, and support the professional growth of your team members.

  • Provide regular feedback and mentoring, including annual reviews.

  • Ensure all projects align with the standards of the QA Center of Excellence.

  • Manage QA Analysts by driving best practices and efficiencies, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring clear results reporting and communication.

  • Provide coaching and training opportunities for Test Analysts. Maintain departmental procedures and train new Test Analysts on testing methodologies, business systems, tools, SharePoint, and other required platforms.

  • Collaborate with QA Analyst Leads and Project Teams to develop test strategies that align with the QA Center of Excellence, including full system integration testing, reporting, and servicing.

  • Identify resource needs and assign appropriately. Determine additional testing needs (e.g., Performance, SIT) and review automation candidates with the Automation Test Team.

  • Partner with the QA Manager to review overall QA Center of Excellence strategies, ensuring best practices are followed. Work with the Automation Team to routinely update testing scenarios to simulate production business processes.

  • Work with QA Analyst Leads to ensure projects stay within time and budget. Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and track progress against workflow components and other key metrics.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, IT partners, and vendor contacts. Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance for all system implementations.

  • Communicate testing results to QA, Project Teams, and IT business solutions representatives. Maintain accuracy in defective management systems and escalate critical issues promptly to the QA Manager.

  • Execute all activities aligned with regulatory requirements, Associated Bank’s brand standards, and financial expectations.

Requirements:

Education

  • Associate Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience with a strong understanding of test management principles and guidelines (Required).

  • 6+ years of experience managing a team of QA professionals (Preferred).

  • ISTQB – CTAL-TM certification (or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop colleagues to reach their professional potential.

  • Excellent time management and planning skills.

  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira and XRay.

  • Experience working within a bank or financial institution.

  • Advanced knowledge of Atlassian Confluence/Jira and XRay.
