~ As the Sr. Group Manager, Strategic Region Americas & Hyundai Motor North America (HMNA) you will report to the VP, HR & Admin Services and serve as a consultant to other senior leaders to drive people excellence and help the organization achieve its objectives.
~ Lead the HR Strategy & Planning group to drive strategic human resources framework, governance, and organization design initiatives for the Americas Strategic Region, Hyundai Motor North America (HMNA) and its subsidiaries, ensuring the alignment with business strategic priorities.
Major Responsibilities
~ Ensure consistency on overall Regional/subsidiary organization human resources strategic goals, standards, objectives, key results, and metrics for each planning cycle.
~ Initiate, direct and implement a broad range of special projects and key strategic initiatives across SR Americas and HMNA
~ Establish and continually assess mid-to-long term business plans to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
~ Gather relevant data and conduct analyses that provide useful insights for improved strategy formulation and decision-making.
~ Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the people operations and infrastructure in the Strategic Region and HMNA, to include service delivery methods and procedures; administrative and support systems; and internal reporting relationships. Identify opportunities for improvement and direct the implementation of changes.
~ Build and manage communication and change management plans to drive regional and subsidiary engagement.
~ Plan and facilitate Strategic Region and HMNA HR Leadership and All Associate meetings, conferences, workshops, and other communication avenues to keep team informed and engaged.
~ Identifies cross functional HR issues and provides leadership in developing and implementing solutions.
~ Lead global mobility planning and immigration program compliance for in-bound and out-bound international assignments
~ Organizes and supervises HR activities to ensure that highly qualified personnel are recruited, developed, and motivated to achieve business objectives.
~ Responsible for HR management of the Strategic Region and HMNA employees reporting to this position

Authority
~ Development of key relationships between and among employees within the Strategic Region, HMNA & subsidiaries in day-to-day operations of business.
~ Make independent HR-related decisions.
~ Manage and sign off on approved budget amounts.
Education
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred~ Must be a high school graduate~ Master’s degree a plusRelated Experience
~ Ten or more years of experience of which at least three years of directly related experience in strategic HR planning.
~ Two or more years of supervisory experience desired.
~ Working knowledge of HR Processes, administration, and compliance issues.
~ Experience as an HR consultant or in HR strategic planning is preferred.

~ Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting company and department objectives.
~ Client focused, business partnering, and influencing skills.
~ The ability to work both strategically and operationally.
~ Verbal and written communications skills that effectively relate to all levels of the organization.
~ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Certification
~ PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred.
