The EHS intern position demands a person who is a self-starter, able to juggle several tasks simultaneously, and has the ability to blend the details with the strategic elements. Additionally, this internship requires a high level of interaction with various cross-functional groups, working extensively at the production floor level with the ability to convey ideas and knowledge, both verbally and through documentation.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in assessments of EHS programs to identify and control significant loss producing exposures.
- Assist in problem solving incidents, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Provide technical research/ guidance and support to the operations in risk analysis and regulatory interpretation.
- Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for manufacturing tasks and document in EHS database systems.
- Provide solutions for ergonomic controls for various tasks producing ergonomic discomfort.
- Engage employees to help identify and mitigate hazards throughout the facilities.

- Continuous improvement initiatives through the application of Lean manufacturing combined with our Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) to reduce the occurrence of OSHA recordable injuries and the reduction of hazardous materials and waste.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
