Sr. Industrial Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Provides expertise in engineering, design, installation and start-up of automation systems. Actively assists manufacturing operations in problem solving with regards to the automated systems. Assists in the validation of process and facility automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, validate, and implement automation systems and process improvements
• Lead cross-functional teams in identifying business goals, requirements, and improving design
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Conduct root-cause analysis to determine automation design requirements
• Create, troubleshoot, and modify automation software programs to meet business needs
• Perform risk assessments and identify potential safety hazards in automation systems
• Collaborate with various teams to optimize processes, improve quality and reduce costs
• Support deployed automation systems for AMHS and COBOT solutions.
• MCS system knowledge

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation system development and project management
• Experience with relevant programming languages to support various automation solutions.
• Knowledge of automation system controls and hardware such as sensors, motors, and controllers
• Knowledge of manufacturing software such as SAP, MES, or SCADA systems
• Experience with Robotics, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning is a plus
